Effective entrepreneurial narrative design in reward crowdfunding campaigns for social ventures

One of the most important challenges for social venture entrepreneurs is acquiring resources. Reward crowdfunding considered a suitable tool meeting financing needs ventures, whose backers are particularly interested in firm ideas and core values rather than collaterals or business plans. A strategic factor that able to influence outcome campaigns entrepreneurial narrative. Very few scholars have examined key factors support campaign, those on reward-based platforms, effects narratives investors’ decisions. Aiming fill this research gap, paper investigates how technology industry describe their ventures projects Eppela, an Italian platform. Thematic analysis was applied detect five following effective ventures: 1) problem/need; 2) project; 3) product; 4) team; 5) venture. Each includes specific subfactors. Lexical data then performed identify expected potential investors, leading these investors understand, trust, approve project proposal, thus, finance venture’s project: reassurance, reliability, credibility. Based results, study proposes explanatory model about design be presented contribute as much possible success platforms.
